Today’s 1 Minute Drill: The X-Drill!
This is a great one. A second variation from the “Changing Gears” drill from last week.
This puts focus on target transitioning as well as throttle control, helping to work on speed and cadence.
Set Up:
Two 3x5 index cards and two 8 inch circles.
Load out:
32 rounds.
Course of fire:
From the 7 yard line, Fire 2 rounds at your first target, then in an X pattern, fire 2 more rounds at each target, reacting the drill 3 more times, starting with a new target each time. Start with a 8 second par time for each iteration, go down as needed.
Example:
A-head, B-body, A-body, B-head
B-head, A-body, B-body, A-head
B-body, A-head, B-head, A-body
A-body, B-head, A-head, B-body
