A few weeks ago, I photographed Piotr across Berlin — eight hours, multiple locations, shifting between the city and the track. We met through @runpackberlin . What stayed with me is how intentional he is about running — not just as a sport, but as a practice. Piotr is the founder of unit030, and his approach is grounded in both experience and a deep understanding of training, movement, and mindset. The shoot was less about staging and more about observing — how he moves, how he works, how he occupies different environments. From urban streets to the track, there’s a consistency in how he approaches running: focused, informed, and precise. There’s also a clear sense of commitment. Eight hours in, the energy was still there — not forced, just part of how he operates. These images reflect that. Not just a running coach, but someone with a defined perspective and a genuine connection to what he does. Full edit over at my blog. Link in bio

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of co-organising the KEEN Trail Run Experience together with @keeneurope , @hhvclothing and @runpackberlin . A strong group, real trail conditions, authentic product testing and a very good atmosphere from start to finish. Grateful for the trust and everyone involved in making this happen. 🌑🙌🏻 Ready for more projects like this. #unit030 #keen #hhv #runpackberlin #trailrunning

First session with Walter Is behind us 🙂 We spent the morning working on the basics as a balance, coordination, body awareness and activating the right side after his illness. No hard training. No pressure. Easy steps. Just learning how to move better, feel more stable and slowly build confidence in running again. Sometimes coaching is not about making someone faster. Sometimes it’s simply about helping someone trust their body again. And that’s exactly where we start. 🔥 #UNIT030 #RunningCoach #Movement #Running #Rebuild AthleteDevelopment

Fourth session with @evope_berlin X @runpackberlin yesterday. This time we focused on drills targeting ankle stiffness and cadence - dribbles, pogo jumps, forward reactive steps, plus A-skip and B-skip as a reminder from previous weeks. More technical work that quickly exposes coordination- and brings a lot of laughs along the way. We followed it up with 4×4’ threshold intervals. Great atmosphere and a very solid HYROX group.

Yesterday was a solid day of work. Started with a full running analysis and performance testing with Max - identifying technical gaps and areas that need strengthening so we can build a more efficient and durable runner. Later, another session with Evope. Warm-up led into A-skip, followed by B-skip progression - building coordination, rhythm, and better mechanics. The group then went through 6×3’ intervals with 90” recovery. Good work all around. Big up to @luisvmartinez & Peter and @evope_berlin Team for having me 🫡 chop-chop

Today we joined a pre-race shakeout run here in Berlin - one week out from the @berlinerhalbmarathon The event was organised by @strider.run — big respect to @heshamell for building a platform that genuinely brings runners together and creates real community around the sport. It was one of those events where everything just clicks - great people, open energy, and a strong turnout. I had the chance to help with pacing, which made it even better to be part of it. Huge credit to everyone involved in making this happen: @strider.run @lululemon @gigisberlin @oatly @annabrauneck @maxmdy Good run, even better atmosphere. Post-run pizza at Gigi’s, coffee from Oatly, music, people — exactly the kind of setup you want a week before race day. 📸 Now all we have to do is wait for the amazing photos from one and only @maxmdy See you on the start line. #berlinhalf #strider

The last two days were packed with solid work. It started with a great meeting, good coffee, and even better company - followed by taking care of some administrative work. A perfect balance 😅 Later, another Thursday session with @evope_berlin . For the second time I had the chance to lead the warm-up, introducing the first drill we’ll be building on week by week - A-skip progression. We start with marching mechanics, then addi rhythm and elasticity, and finally perform the full A-skip drill at a higher cadence. The group then went through a strong session of 5×3’ with 2’ recovery. Good work all around. Earlier that day, I was at Paul-Heyse track for a session with Emma. We went through strength, mobility and performance testing, finishing with a running analysis. This gives us a clear direction — where to build strength, what needs to be corrected, and how to reduce imbalances. We also identified technical errors that we’ll be working on step by step to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary joint stress. A lot of work ahead - exactly how it should be. To close it out, I completed my second key session: 5×2 km at half marathon pace. Getting ready for the race with the Run Pack crew - I’ll be running with Cassandra and we’re going after sub 1:25. Tired, but in a good way. And this is just the beginning.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of helping lead the Evope Berlin group session. As part of their first session, the HYROX athletes completed the Cooper Test — a 12-minute maximal effort designed as an assessment to establish baseline performance metrics for future training. I supported the session by leading the warm-up and pacing the faster group during the test Big thanks to Luis and Peter for the opportunity - looking forward to the next sessions. After that, I headed to the track where our group continued with a demanding interval workout. @julianwildmann , @alexmwinter , and @luisvmartinez completed 1600m intervals with 200m variations - 200m fast followed by a 200m float at around 3:40/km pace. Absolute machines. @cassandrenoblot joined the group for the 800m rep and then took over the pacing for the final 400m. I alternated reps with Cass before rejoining the group for the 1200m segment and finished the session with an additional 200m fast interval. An excellent session overall, and I’m especially happy to be able to run workouts like this just 1.5 weeks after completing a marathon. Our next race is coming up in two weeks - Cass and I will line up together and aim to break 1:25 in the half marathon #hyroxberlin #evoperformance #runpackberlin #berlinhalbmarathon
