This weekend, Shirley, Kath and Kwai, three of our Fine Art and Craft students, proudly showcased their work at @doncasterartmarket alongside talented alumni and local artists.
Visitors had the chance to explore a beautiful mix of original prints, illustrations, and handmade pieces, each one full of creativity, passion, and individuality. It was wonderful to see our students sharing their talent with the community and connecting with others who love art just as much as they do.
Moments like this remind us how important it is to celebrate creativity and support emerging artists, and weโre so proud to see our students stepping out, sharing their work, and being part of such an inspiring and vibrant creative community of Doncaster artists.

Our Adult Level 3 Access to HE Health Science Professions learners have been putting their skills into practice this term, designing and carrying out their own experiments.
From investigating reaction rates to exploring antimicrobial resistance, curiosity and creativity have driven every project, including the recreation of an ancient Saxon remedy to compare with modern penicillin, all a fantastic hands-on experience preparing learners for future careers in healthcare, from nursing and midwifery to radiography and paramedic science.

Children of all ages can take part in a variety of interactive challenges, collecting passport stamps as they travel from country to country. Along the way, youโll meet our friendly staff and students, discover different cultures, and explore the many subject areas available at the college. PGCE student Beth recently attended the Subject Specialist Conference at the University of Huddersfield alongside her cohort and came away feeling inspired and motivated.

Beth also presented her paper, โEnhancing Communication Skills Teaching in Health and Social Care.โ The paper focused on using gamification and case studies to develop studentsโ communication skills, with particular attention on supporting young adults with SEND. Over the year, these approaches have led to noticeable improvements in student engagement, confidence, and communication development.

Our business team welcomed over 30 Level 3 @doncastercollege students into our Higher Education space at the Hub campus to take part in an exciting business challenge. Doing things a little differently for a degree taster session, students were tasked with tackling real societal issues aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The creativity, collaboration, and confidence on display throughout the day were incredible, with students truly stepping up to an active, project-based university environment, exploring some inspiring and thoughtful concepts along the way.
