Looking for a way to take action against President Trump’s efforts to sow fear and division, and enact harmful policies? Standing with #NoKings in collective action is how we make it clear: in America we don’t do kings. https://bit.ly/nk3hometown
THE PODCAST: Would you rather coin a new phrase into the modern lexicon or be contractually obligated to say “treat yo self” once a day? Retta weighs in.
Rome 2026 . . .
* Took a quick 4 day jaunt over to Rome from Paris. Took a cooking class and learned to make 3 kinds of pasta and tiramisu. Drank alllll the wine.
* Went on a tour in the smallest car I’ve ever seen with the tallest guide I’ve ever seen. Learned a lot about this ancient city. And laughed more than not.
* Got my steps in walking from First Musica Hotel over the River Tiber to the shops on via del Corso and Via dei Condotti.
* And got to see my friend @kissydugan who we dragged out every night. I’m sure she was glad to see us go. 😄
THE PODCAST: Actor, Host of Ugliest House in America, and one-half of the team who brought us “treat yo self,” Retta, joins Sali on Work Friends. They get into the stories of landing her beloved roles (Donna Meagle on Parks and Recreation among them), why she still can’t part with her pre-med notes, and learning to be her most authentic self as an @hgtv host. Listen to (or watch!) the full episode at the link in bio.
Paris 2026
• Went to ‘The City of Light’ or as they say en français ‘La Ville-Lumière’.
• A much needed girls’ trip with my frannnn Sandi who is always down for an excursion. It was a time. Stayed, once again, at the Sofitel Paris Baltimore Tour Eiffel (say THAT 5x fast) which is always lovely and welcoming thanks to Adrien and the staff there. This is a glimpse at our first few days. Did quite a bit of walking (for me anyway) and had some amazing dinners. Not sure how I don’t have ANY pics of our actual FIRST day as we kicked things off with a trip to the outlet mall where we hit up almost every shop. Oh well. C’est la vie!
Kicking off the week with the hilarious Chelsea Handler and Retta! Plus Ricki Lake and the founder of Altadena Girls share stories of recovery a year since the LA Fires, and the band WILLIS performs!
