Les résidents de l’EHPAD Ty Laouen, Jo Le Port, n’ont pas seulement transmis des souvenirs : ils ont offert des fragments de l’île que seuls les cœurs anciens savent lire. Ils ont parlé avec des mots polis par le sel, contant des histoires qui ont résisté à l’oubli. Après une année de travail avec les enfants, ce projet a été projeté au cinéma des familles de Groix, déjà exposé dans la salle Ty Canot à Port Tudy et a fait l’objet d’un journal “En pleine mer ou je suis né”. “Et au fil de ce dialogue, c’est l’île qui se révèle par fragments. L’île habitée, aimée, photographiée de l’intérieur n’est pas un décor, mais une présence vivante. Elle est faite d’embruns, de regards, de gestes simple, de roches repliées, de falaises noires et rouges et de pluie qui vient sans prévenir. “Pour des jambes d’enfant, le rivage c’est toujours un peu loin. Chaque étape est un jeu, une occasion de se cacher, une branche qui évoque une épée, un rocher à escalader, des pierres qui deviennent des osselets. Chaque halte, où l’on repose ses pieds et s’interroge sur comment faire ses lacets, est une occasion de manger quelques mures, de regarder un papillon, ou de souffler sur une coccinelle pour la voir s’envoler.” Yannick Jaffre, anthropologue.. Patagonia. Something was left behind here, forgotten. Yet it remains, still working in silence.
At the bottom of lakes and glaciers, along straits and marshes, collective memory trickles, stagnates, collapses, downloads, streams, evaporates.
Neither document nor story, but a mental space where water still whispers the memory of the world. The joy of this campaign was not limited to the shooting itself, but increased tenfold when we were able to discover the prints in their many different forms: from the 50-meter sticker on the towers of St Denis or Montparnasse, to the ticket purchase screens, to the posters on the platforms and in the stations, to the installation of « ephemeral stadiums » and changing rooms at @groundcontrolparis . These visuals were seen by millions of station visitors, both French and foreigners, who came to watch the @paris2024 We were delighted to collaborate with SNCF on this national campaign, which was a real highlight of 2024. We are very pleased to present a few images from the studio’s latest photographic achievement for @sncfgroupe for the @paris2024 . The aim was to showcase the @groupesncf athletes program by making portraits of them in motion to bring the spirit of the Olympics to life in every train station in France. The visuals had to showcase each discipline in the SNCF colors, capturing the movement and shadow of the athletes in a single shot, to highlight their gestures and performance. With a team of wonderful professionals, we set up shop for several days in the @studio.labriquerouge to photograph 24 athletes and warm them up before their qualifying rounds! SNCF athletes combine 2 lives: those of top-level athletes and those of SNCF workers, whether as rapid assistance team agents, communications officers or methods technicians. The photo studio quickly became a playground for camaraderie, with some team members even getting involved in coaching the athletes to warm up the flashes. All the athletes knew each other and were proud to represent not only the SNCF but also the colors of France at the Paris Olympics, where some like @sarahleonie_cysique_judo were even able to bring home a bronze and gold medal in team judo.
