Its cool toned champagne metallic details make the pinks and oranges really pop… Personally I’m quite mesmerised by the reef-like gradient pattern at the bottom…🪸 This is one of those pieces I wish I could jump into.

“Nectar” is one of my six brand new artworks, inspired by Cornish Spring coastal scenes and blooms. 🌷 Although I’ve used lots of pinks before, this particular combo with apricot, ochre, lilac and hints of lime just 🌞hits different🌞

“Salt & Earth” is one of six new originals releasing in my newsletter on Friday 15/05. I’ve currently got this 75cm circle hanging in our bedroom and I kind of want to keep it… 🥲 but I would also be very happy to see it find a permanent home. This piece is so deeply layered, the textures create shadows onto the ones below. A palette of warm earthy tones, deep ocean hues and hints of brass add warmth and depth to the space.

A little slice of paradise 🐚 this new 20cm mini titled “Awakened Senses” (no. 5/9) is one of my personal favourites from the series, its intricate organic textures just invite you to reach out and touch it. My signature glass-like clear coat gives the illusion of being three dimensional… and what you’ll find is a satisfyingly smooth finish. Working with resin is a full sensory experience, one of the reasons I am still in love with it after more than 10 years.

Colour shifting & light reflecting details of “Vernal Dew” - a new 50 cm circular piece. These turquoise hues will appear warmer or cooler, depending on the time of day, with iridescent pigments hidden in the layers throughout. These come out to play when the light hits just right…

COMPASS (100 cm) was sold before I completed it, and now lives with a collector alongside many of my other works. I only ever shared the close up shots on my grid thanks to my brain 🧠🌶️😅 so here you finally see the full circle. This piece was released just before Spring started. “Compass” is a reminder to follow our inner voice, to let our intuition be the guiding light throughout life ~ even when -I should say especially- when it means going against the grain.

One of the great joys for me is delivering my artworks in-person when I can. I love meeting my clients and seeing where my work will live on. A few weeks ago, I delivered a circle piece to a lady in Cornwall who is a psychotherapist, art collector and artist living in a whimsical cottage. I loved hearing more about her very interesting life and work, seeing her art-filled home and getting her live reaction to seeing my artwork for the first time in-person. It was also fascinating to listen to what drew her to the piece. This week I’ll be delivering two more artworks to her, including this 120 x 90 cm piece from 2024, titled “A View From Above”.
As an independent artist, I highly value these kinds of interactions like home deliveries, as well as your studio visits of course.🌻
