Ten years ago, we started with a simple idea: give young African leaders a platform, and watch what happens. What began as a TV show in 2015 became something bigger. We now have a forum where CEOs can sit together and engage in business conversations. Events featuring African business icons. Partnerships with brands like Mitsubishi Motors, Sunlight Nigeria, and ARM Pensions that believed in the vision. A learning hub with over 50 courses and 100 ebooks. A book, How We Made It in Africa, featuring 52 top-performing CEOs and executives from across the continent. We’ve hosted pitch nights, fireside chats, workshops, and networking meetups. We launched the Under40CEOs Junior Club to bring business principles into classrooms, mentoring students from primary to tertiary levels through storytelling, competitions, and access to role models. Over 100 testimonials. Thousands of members. A decade of building a community that proves what young business minds can achieve when they have the platform, the voice, and the support to grow. This is Under40CEOs. A movement. A community. A legacy. Learn more about us by visiting the link in our bio. #Under40CEOs #AfricanLeadership #Entrepreneurship #BusinessCommunity #10YearsStrong

Throwback to IWD HerStage 2026, hosted by Under 40 CEOs on March 6, 2026, in Lagos, in partnership with Morning Fresh and supported by Herconomy, Gbemisoke Shoes, BellaNaija, and Salt Lagos. At the centre of the day was our keynote speaker, Dr Mosun Belo Olusoga, whose address anchored the theme Give to Gain: Redesigning Power for Shared Prosperity. During her keynote, she shared a perspective that carried through the conversations that followed. “I tell people women are not saying they deserve something because they’re women. It is because they are worth it. I encourage women to demand what is due to them.” Across the room, women business executives, founders, and professionals engaged with this idea, examining what it means to lead with value, confidence, and intention. Most entrepreneurs don’t fail due to a lack of talent; they fail because they aren’t prepared for what building a business truly involves. A launch might flop, a client might walk away, cash flow can become tight, or a team member may let you down. None of these indicates personal failure; rather, they are normal parts of the entrepreneurial journey. Success doesn’t go to the most talented or well-funded; it goes to those who stop expecting business to be comfortable and instead treat every challenge as part of the process. Problems are not obstacles, they are the work itself. Once that truth settles in, you become very hard to beat. Most people quit the moment business starts feeling like business. Staying in the game is already a competitive advantage most people hand over for free. If you are ready to build with clarity, real strategy, and a community that understands what you are going through, the membership was made for you. Inside, you get the tools, the frameworks, and the honest conversations that keep you moving forward. The link is in my bio. Over 300 Nollywood films have made her a household name across Africa. A music career was signed to Universal Music despite critics saying she should stay in her lane. A US television debut on VH1’s “Hit the Floor” opened international markets. Red Hot Concepts is a production and management firm that addresses gaps in Nigeria’s entertainment infrastructure. TEFFEST, a festival promoting global standards in the African entertainment business. A real estate portfolio spanning multiple cities across the world. A family, married to Captain Matthew Ekeinde with four children pursuing their own diverse passions. TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People list in 2013. Nigeria’s Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) for contributions to cinema. A platform with millions of followers using her voice for meaningful causes. All while people kept telling her she had to choose. Career or family. Acting or music. One industry or another. She chose all of it. And proved that the limits people try to place on women are lies. Basic business terms get confused more often than you’d think. Revenue is the total money coming in from sales. Profit is what’s left after you subtract all expenses, costs, and taxes. You can have high revenue and low (or negative) profit. That’s why “we made $10 million last year” doesn’t always mean success if expenses were $12 million. Understanding this difference shapes how you price, spend, and evaluate business health. Answer: C Did you get it right? Sales keep the business alive. It is how ideas turn into revenue, how effort becomes results, and how businesses sustain themselves over time. Founders who understand this do not treat sales as an afterthought. They build for it, prioritise it, and stay close to it. If you want your business to grow, pay attention to how you sell and how your product reaches people. Follow us for more insights on building businesses that actually scale, and join the Under 40 CEOs membership via the link in bio. cc: @biz.insider #Under40CEOs #Sales #BusinessGrowth #Entrepreneurship #Scaling

This was not just a product idea. It was a conviction. Fade Ogunro built Bookings Africa on the belief that geography, gender and informal employment status should never be a barrier to earning. With over 100,000 downloads and a user base that is 65% women, the platform is proving that belief right every single day. Africa’s workforce is skilled, resourceful and ready. What it needs is access. Read Fade’s full story in How We Made It in Africa Vol 2.
