see our installation ‘hung out to dry’
curated by @maarcolombardi e @iandelli
as they wait to dry, bedlinens draped in ones home are commonly considered a combursome and temporary invasion that will be soon folded away out of sight. the project desires to build on this common domestic ritual, arranging the act of drying fabric elements in a way that may contribute to a space rather than hindering it.
the simple act of drying bed linen becomes an encounter with light, air, and space. what is usually hidden or hurried, folded away, or pushed aside slows down, is exposed, and becomes visible.
Sheets, often considered unremarkable and too private for view, are reimagined as living surfaces that interact with their surroundings, reshape the room, and invite reflection and a sense of protection.
