Old school fighters used to make a habit of skipping on timber platforms to mimic the bounce and feel of the ring.
Probably a lot kinder on the joints too. Considering the amount of rounds, every little bit would’ve helped long term.

Stance matters!
It always amazed me watching Tiger Woods walk up to the ball. The time he takes setting his feet, adjusting his position, rehearsing the movement.
You’d think after a lifetime of golf he could just walk up and take a swing.
But he doesn’t.
Yet in boxing, stance is often treated like something you either “have” or don’t. Something rarely trained deliberately.
We’ll spend hours trying to get stronger in the gym to hit harder… while ignoring the very position that transfers force into the ground in the first place.
If stance is that important in a sport like golf, why isn’t it of the upmost importance in a sport like boxing?
