Maple veneer in its purest form over in the Walthamstow kitchen of @theboywhobakes , our cabinetry paired with a Caesarstone worktop in Topus Concrete for a warm finish, a palette particularly suited to the room’s soft light.
Each and every inch bespoke, our co-founder Alan describes: “From the outset we spent time with Edd understanding how he lives and works day to day: how he moves around a kitchen, what he reaches for most often, what slows him down and what he needs close at hand when baking, cooking or filming. Those conversations shaped the layout and cabinetry design. Rather than responding to the room as it was, we designed the space around the way he wanted to use it.”
Our Core system offers a range of modules in variable widths and heights, allowing you to create a functional and unified kitchen design without the bespoke price tag. A range of customisation options, from colourways to handles, offer a truly personalised finish, a kitchen that feels very much your own.

An area chock full of smart modernist properties, this Teddington marina-side 1960s home features a classic Uncommon design, oak-veneered birch ply paired with white Corian worktops, an unfussy combination guaranteed to stand the test of time. Our layout rethink allows for more room to circulate and a defined separation between the kitchen and living space beyond, a tall, end of unit bookcase a casual (and practical) border between the two.
However big or small a project, integrating places to display and personalise should never feel like an afterthought. We love to see how our clients interpret these little galleries spaces, UP furniture a reflection of you and your home.
Our bespoke kitchen for this Hampstead Grade 2 listed arts & crafts cottage, a design balancing multiple factors. As well as maximising both garden views and space to store, we worked hard to craft a kitchen that felt at home in this relatively modest extension, whilst honouring the wider home and its historic status.
From kitchen to dining, a view through the hatch at one of our latest projects, a smart solution for clients who wanted the light, flow and flexibility of open plan whilst keeping a sense of ordered separation - the best of both worlds.
Back in the showroom, bold lines and intense palettes meet honest, simple birch plywood. Head to our highlights to find out why this all-rounder is our material of choice.
A family heirloom, this traditional plate rack was a must-include for our clients, preserving childhood memories in a fresh, contemporary space. ‘Wedgwood Blue’ becomes a unifying shade, familiar, classic and very much in-keeping with their treasured collection of crockery and ceramics.
A little out of the ordinary for UP, glass shelving works perfectly in this modern dresser, a mirrored back reflecting the room’s natural light, the ideal spot for our client’s sparkling glassware.
Back to our Core range, a more affordable entry into the world of Uncommon kitchens. You measure and install, we provide a customised kitchen built on our precision-engineered plywood chassis, designed and constructed to the same high-standards you’d expect from our bespoke furniture.
