We started this project in 2019, photographing people in their homes and asking them about the things they love.
We wanted to make a magazine.
COVID happened.
Life happened.
People moved.
And then we waited way too long…
So now the project will live on Substack!
Thanks to @littlebova for the cover design!
And to @menofilter , who helped design the original magazine!
Each month, we’ll feature someone and their stuff — the meaningful, the weird, the sentimental, the practical, the beautiful, and the forgotten. The first few posts look back in time, and then we’ll begin sharing new work as we make it.
Better late than never.
Angelyne at her art show, sleepy cowboy on nye 2024, nicco rolling a joint in Palm Springs, Angelyne again, a pin I should have bought, baby Ronald McDonald in a pocket, Clem’s booty, cute diner sign on the way home from Vegas, frozen lasagna boxes on a chair at Jake’s dad’s house, Macy’s Pokémon toy in the pool, pimp line, Ari and a plane, little me on Nicco’s neck, fruits and Jesus after grandmas funeral, Vanessa on a smoke break 💋
my mom took me to see the Backstreet Boys in Vegas back in 1999–my first concert ever! I was 7! It was really special to see them again. I wish she could have been there but I’m so grateful that I got to have this super silly millennial experience with my best friends. I am so lucky to have them in my life. I’m still being haunted by those snowy, Mount Rushmore-esque visuals tho. Strange choice. Xoxo
