For the next issue of UNOBSTRUCTED Magazine, we want to explore the theme of belonging. This question has always been essential to how we understand our cultures and ourselves. Throughout history, we have belonged to communities, networks, and families, the relationships and structures that form what anthropologist Clifford Geertz described as our “webs of significance.”
Belonging is a broad and layered experience: a feeling, a condition, a position, and sometimes even a tension. We are looking for submissions that engage with this in any way. Your work does not have to be only about belonging, but it should intersect with it in a meaningful way, especially within the context of the ABCSSS islands and their diasporas.
