Sound has always been the heart of UMI. And today, we probably got one of the best-sounding clubs in the world 🫦 After months of upgrades and fine-tuning, our system has now reached its final form, across all rooms. 🔍 For the nerdiest of ya’ll, let’s dive a bit deeper in the technical side of our Sub room: 🇧🇪 Our club is the only one in the world working exclusively with Technovoice loudspeakers, handmade in Belgium for over 30 years. Being the only Belgian club working with a pure Belgian product is truly a pride for us! 🔌 All paired with @fullfataudioofficial amplification and processing, bringing the total amplification power up to 60.000 W. The whole space also benefits from custom 360° acoustic treatment, continuously adjusted in-house to refine precision, balance, and immersion. 🔊 A full quadraphonic Technovoice system surrounds the SUB: four hi-fi tops with 2" compression drivers and dual 15" transducers, delivering a clean, detailed and surgical stereo image. 🎚️Low-end comes from four double 18" bass cabinets for tight, ultra-responsive punch, supported by four double 18" infra-subs reaching down to 25 Hz. 🎛️ Our booths are designed with the same care as the rooms themselves: Technovoice monitors with matching compression drivers, high-efficiency 18" transducers, and in the Sub, two additional subwoofers so artists feel the same energy as the floor. 🌍 Together with Penrose audio, we introduced a world-first: a headphone delay processor that phases the DJ’s headphones with the booth and the main system. It’s a true honor for us to welcome @kiasvs , the head of @animalialabel , straight from Australia in the Sub! 🫶 It would be hard to fully describe how much @kiasvs represents the freshness of the new deep techno music. Her journey is deeply inspiring, and her label quite literally helped open the door for an entire new musical movement! Before her, we’ll welcome @casper.kaa for the very first time at BLUR. She openly told us how much of a fan she is of @kiasvs , and as you probably know by now, that’s exactly the kind of story we love to curate. We’re convinced she’ll deliver the perfect set before our international guest takes over. 🙂‍↕️ Closing the night in the Sub will be our beloved resident @adi_purplepitch , who already shares a beautiful connection with @kiasvs , having invited her this year to his Colombian festival @bonanzafestival.col . We have absolutely no doubt the vibe in the Sub will be incredible from beginning to end. But that’s not all. 👀 In the Studio, our friend @violentlyhappy.mp3 will celebrate their birthday with a special B2B alongside @sookie.sarah . Two artists who inspire us deeply. We’re kicking off June welcoming the Australian electro-techno 2.0 legend @_reptant for a live set in the Sub! 💥 A highly remarkable and widely praised artist who’s been making serious waves over the past few years with one incredible release after another on Kalahari Oyster Cult. He’s also behind some absolute dancefloor weapons released under the alias Umi.S (on Animalia Rec), played everywhere lately. ⚡ Before him, we’re very happy to welcome @giorgipipia__ , resident DJ from Leftbank Club (Tbilissi), currently passing through Belgium. He’ll be making a stop at BLUR and we’re genuinely excited to invite him for the opening set. On closing duty, our Tonton @sono_ventura_soundsystem will play B2B with resident @ava___eva , a format they already explored together elsewhere with a lot of joy. They promised each other they’d do even better this time… while trying not to overdo the cocktails like last time 🤭 This night is especially close to our hearts, as we celebrate the birthday of our beloved resident @the.poppy.show who will take over the Studio all alone, all night long.
