The men’s basketball program added another dynamic scorer today, announcing the commitment of 6’6” wing @owen_unrau08 .
The Carberry, MB native was unstoppable at the AA level with Carberry Collegiate, averaging 42 points per game, 12.5 rebounds per game, 3.2 blocks per game and 2.3 steals per game.
Unrau also holds the Carberry school record for points in a game, netting 68.

COMBINE CALL 📞
Men’s basketball guards @brandtlenz and @dantedyck have received invites to participate in the inaugural @vancouverbandits university combine, taking place from April 25-26, 2026 at Langley Events Centre. It’s the first of its kind hosted by a @cebleague team.
The invite-only combine will feature nearly 40 student-athletes from post-secondary men’s basketball programs across BC and North America.
The goal of the combine is for Bandits coaching staff to identify players to invite to training camp, where they can compete for a roster spot for the 2026 CEBL season.

The College Jeanne- Sauvé product averaged 20 points per game and was named an SCAC All-Star from 2022-26.

@umbisonsmbb added some Finnish flair today, announcing the commitment of 6’9” forward @makkonenpaavo_ from Lahti. Makkonen is the first student-athlete from Finland to play for the program in head coach Kirby Schepp’s 18-year tenure.

The Bisons all-time leader in assists and steals is returning to the Sea Bears after being drafted in the second round of the CEBL U SPORTS draft last year and previously spending time on the team’s practice squad.
