DJ Armstrong, the son of @orlandomagic legend Darrell Armstrong, will be competing in the 2026 AWS G League Combine this week! The 6’4” guard just led @umbcbasketball to the NCAA Tournament and averaged 13.3 PPG on 42% 3PT and 92% FT during his senior year. DJ was originally a JuCo player and then played at D2 Texas Permian Basin before transferring to the D1 level. He’s the first player in UMBC history to be invited to the Combine. 🔥 @darrellarmstrongjr
His father, Darrell Armstrong, spent 14 years in the NBA. Darrell won the 1999 NBA Most Improved Player and Sixth Man of the Year - making him the first and only player to win both awards in the same season. Armstrong was also an assistant coach on the @dallasmavs when they won the title in 2011 and made the NBA Finals in 2024.
