AIKO THE TIGER ๐ฏ๐พ๐ชท๐
The AASU Executive Board this year has had much discussion, and we believe that AIKO the Tiger is a more accurate and inclusive representation of the UMBC Asian American community. The team has provided fun facts about tigers in the next few slides! We hope youโre as psyched about our rebrand as we are!!!โจโจโจ
Here are some more fun facts about tigers:
โข The highest population of tigers comes from the bengal tiger
โข The Bengal tiger, found in India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh, makes up over half the worldโs wild tiger population.
โข There were over 100,000 wild tigers a century ago โ now fewer than 5,000 remain.
โข The tigerโs wide range and adaptability makes it a powerful symbol for Asian diaspora communities โ adaptable, bold, and unbroken
