A Porte Ring featuring two cushion cut spinels in 20k apricot gold. I absolutely love this new style and wear a very similar one daily. Mine is a single blue spinel set in sandblasted 18k royal yellow gold and I wear it stacked with a sapphire Màre ring. Each ring in the Porte series is designed so the profile of the band follows the shape of the stone~ creating a somewhat endless variety of options for stones, single or double. It also utilizes (and highlights) the often overlooked smaller stones.
Made a mini version of the Valle Hoops, ultra lightweight and with a hinged clasp so you never have to take them off if you’re like me and don’t like sleeping in post back earrings. They’re not online yet, but they exist.
Happy, nearly, New Year. Here’s to more creativity, newness, travel, love…whatever it is that you may seek.
Being a jeweler can be a fairly solitary existence~ and to know me is to know the importance of that. But, equally as important is the community that supports me to spend all of those solo hours at the bench. This new year will mark the next chapter for myself and the community that surrounds, and I can’t wait to share more as it unfolds. But for now I’m still holding my tongue :)
This ring is a new one~ called the Belo ring and named for the wonderful customer who originally commissioned its design 🤍. I’ve got two new variations in stock: this diamond classic in 18k royal yellow, and a blue sapphire set in 18k white gold. Dm if you’re interested in the details of either.

I put a little restock online of some classics and a few very special pieces~ including this 18k jade Pia No. 2, which I opted to sandblast for the first time…. The combination created this velvety outcome…
The end of summer nights ✨
It was a season that signaled a shift for me. I took more time off, regularly, than I have in probably 10 years (you might have noticed). I made sure to sit in the sun, to be on the water, have lunch with friends (midday on a weekday!), be active, and to just relax. I feel more balanced and happier than ever.
And…I stayed offline a lot. Much of this shift seems to be about needing to work at a pace of my own choosing. I think about something a dear friend said to me years ago “At a certain point the business needs to work for you, not you working for it”. I’m almost 17 years into Ursa Major. Small business owners: if you can get there, do it, it’s a lifestyle, stress level, anxiety reducing game changer.
This is to say thank you for being patient with me. I feel supported and I’m so incredibly grateful for that. If I never replied- just know I’m working on implementing a new system. And if you’re still interested in something, just try me again.
Bigger changes are coming. And they are exciting! And perhaps even a website update……

There’s a lot of newness that has been happening behind the scenes. I had hit a point with my work where everything felt quite safe, and if I’m honest, a little boring. I wasn’t making the pieces that excited me. And so, through more education, and a little bit of slowing down in the studio to make room for exploration, I’m slowly beginning to see a new series take shape.
And so, aptly named, the new 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦 series of rings suggest just that: opening doors to new things.
Having added one to my own stack made me love the existing rings all over again. These change the dynamic of things, breaking up the usual rows, adding movement, and adding dimension. Each ring is designed so that the band follows the profile of the stone~ creating a variety of options for stones, single or double. A new take on the Toi et Moi someone said 💙
This one features two fan cut sapphires set in warm 18k royal yellow. Online now.
I’ve been pulling farther and farther back from things like Instagram and emails, and you may think, well that doesn’t sound like a very wise business decision, but ever since I lost my brother two years ago I’ve been putting more effort into nurturing myself. And that does, in turn, nurture the business. But it feels to me that time is better spent in person (when possible) rather than online, and in making a point to get out there and do the things that bring you joy, before time passes you by. My father was a fierce advocate of this, and yesterday, though he may not have been present in body, his spirit is everywhere, and particularly clear when I’m on a boat.
So all of this is sort of a little way of saying thank you for bearing with me while I take some time to feed my soul. I hope this encourages you to do the same. It’s a world I’m navigating in terms of how to balance it with work, but I know it’s important, particularly as I enter new chapters. I’m just a woman, seeking to do good work, and sometimes that takes me longer than I expect, but boy is my heart in it. I know may not be as present in the email frontier as some would like or need, and I’m trying to be better, but I think I’m getting worse so if you can continue to put up with me while I navigate that I’m grateful. But even better yet, come visit~ or let me know if you want me to visit you. Everything is so much better without a screen.
