National champions. Again.🏆 A team of UL Lafayette mechanical engineering students has claimed Grand Champion honors at the National Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge, defeating universities from across the United States with a hydraulic-powered bike they designed and built from scratch.
The vehicle can reach speeds up to 16 mph using a hydraulic system powered first by pedaling, then by stored fluid pressure.
This marks the second time in three years that UL Lafayette engineering students have won the national competition.

Geaux Cajuns!
Saturday night at Blackham Coliseum was a celebration of everything we love about the Ragin' Cajun community. From the energy in the room to the incredible support behind the scenes, this year’s Gala was truly one to remember.
