A message from our founder @daniache1 Earlier this week Ukraine TrustChain 🇺🇦 sent it’s $10,000,000th (7 zeros) dollar to Ukrainian volunteers. These resources so far supported:
🚌 62,000 evacuations
📦 Distribution of 462,000 aid packages
🚛 Delivery of 14,000 tons of aid, water and firewood
All of this work is done by regular people in Ukraine who stepped up to counter the wild injustice of this war. But that’s in Ukraine.
Today, I feel especially grateful to 25 of my friends in the US, who continue to work on this every day, on top of our day jobs and family obligations. Thanks to you, UTC still operates without any administrative expenses, making it one of the most efficient organizations in this space.
Also, I remain in complete awe of the generosity of Americans and Europeans who still choose to support Ukraine and seek out ways of doing so. It’s an honor to be part of this effort, whatever the future has in store for us.
A family with eight children, three of whom have disabilities, joyfully greet Oleksandr's team every time they arrive. The youngest child needs surgery for a cleft lip and palate. This week, another 150 food kits reached the elderly and people with disabilities in Eastern Ukraine. Marina and her team continue to focus their volunteer efforts on helping the most vulnerable people in these frontline communities. Another person was evacuated from the frontline town of Kramatorsk to a less dangerous one. Since the start of the new year, our teams have evacuated 558 people who are fleeing the destruction coming from the east. Many try to pay for this service, but Vitaliy reminds them that Ukraine TrustChain has a humanitarian mission. This time, the passenger decided to share a gift with Vitaliy. Ukrainian Easter bread, or paska, is a traditional holiday bread made with a potato-based starter, milk, eggs, and raisins. Despite the dangerous situation in Nikopol', Karina’s team successfully delivered 296 humanitarian aid kits there via mail. Once the shipment arrived, a local volunteer managed the distribution during a brief window of calm amidst enemy attacks. Families were able to collect essential supplies, including flour, pasta, oil, and tea. This aid is a lifeline in frontline communities.
