Coming to GROUNDS: UKANDANZ
The essence of this modern trance machine lies in the soul of Ethiopia. uKanDanZ owns furthermore two fundamental elements: the elastic voice of Asnake Gebreyes, one of the leading figures of the modern Addis Adeba’s scene, and the compositions and arrangements of Damien Cluzel, a free electron who always feels great in musical crossovers. With traditionally inspired structures and controlled slippages of modernity, the fundamental polyrhythms continue to explode in contact with prog, punk and experimental rock.
uKanDanZ’ sixth album is another cosmic explosion in the galaxy that the band self created fifteen years ago: Ethiopian music from the 70s pumped up on rock, noise and experimental hormones. The phenomenal Evil Plan is due to explode on Sunday 15th February, live at GROUNDS!

A good 15 years ago in a full house at the squat gallery Kelderman En Van Noort they blew everybody's mind with their incredible energy, skills and culture ! Kevn was new, they we're new as band and both have come great, great length !
