UI-CON 2026 was a great success!
It's time to thank all of the awesome people and organizations that helped make the event happen this year. Today, we begin with our gaming room. Special thanks to the Illini Metagamers, Illini Rhythm Syndicate, The Blading Illini, Illini Crusaders, Cudo Plays, and Bridget Coleman for providing equipment, games, and events in the gaming room!

The UI-CON Bus how has a schedule and a designated pick-up point! Look for our volunteer or staff member holding the sign pictured below at the location circled here, just north of the Illini Union! A direct ride between the Union and the convention center, arriving every 20-30 minutes! Available 12PM to 9PM Friday, and 9AM-9PM Saturday!

Earlier today, our Instagram and Facebook pages shared an AI-generated poster posted by the Canopy Club related to a collaboration that was offered by the club. Unfortunately, when the collaboration on the post was offered, the post was not examined as well as it should have been, so when we accepted the collaboration on the post, we did not notice the AI art at the time. To be clear, we did not “make” the poster: the Canopy Club and/or their partner generated the image in question, and we want to reassure you that all of our art is created by a talented and dedicated volunteer team of human artists I am proud and lucky to work with, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Furthermore, our stance against AI art in our Artist and Vendor Hall remains as firm as ever: AI art is not welcome in our Artist and Vendor Hall. We apologize for any concern this mistake in sharing AI art may have brought to all of you, and we ask for your understanding in this situation. Furthermore, moving forward we will be evaluating how we can better avoid situations in the future where convention partners associate UI-CON with AI art without our consent and agreement.

UI-CON is chartering a bus, just for you! During the convention on Friday and Saturday, a Peoria Charter bus will provide rides from the Illini Union to the Illinois Conference Center! Exact times and details of pick up/drop off points will be announced soon!
