Get to know our May Meltdown Head Officials before they spend the whole weekend sending skaters to the penalty box! Our Head Skating Official, Sushi, has been involved in derby along the Wasatch Front for more than a decade, and has earned a reputation for being tough but fair when officiating events across the country. (And yes, she really loves raw fish!)

Mandy Mayhem, our Games Tournament Oversight Official, started playing derby in 2013, and after stints with various Utah leagues now calls Happy Valley Roller Derby her home. Hopefully her experience and patience with actual livestock will come in handy when dealing with animals on eight wheels!

"We can rebuild her. We have the technology." That's what Head Non-Skating Official Bionic NV heard after her last derby injury, and she knew it was time to turn her focus to officiating instead. Statsbooks won't even try to mess with this baddie, because she's better, stronger, and faster.

Temperatures are rising, and the flat track is heating up! It’s gonna get sweaty at this year’s May Meltdown, with nine teams battling it out to be the cherry on top of the tournament. Match-ups include A level, B Level, and Open Gender regulation games. Join us this Memorial Day weekend at the Derby Depot for two full days of nonstop roller derby action!
Rounding out the weekend, we'll have three teams in our Open Gender bracket, hosted by Salt Lake's own @uintarollerderby , and their roster has great mix of experience and energy. Gold Rush Roller Derby will be rolling into town from California, and you gotta know they'll be gunning for the gold at May Meltdown. The spicy skaters of Albuquerque Roller Derby will bring that desert heat to the track, so you can be sure these games will be FIRE!
