Itโs that time of year: the undergraduate Rowan Writing Awards are in full swing! At $2,000 per award, this is one of the best opportunities we have in the department for emerging writers to earn funds for their art and showcase their work to the community. Scan the QR code on the poster for full contest details, or reach out to @uhcwp with your questions.
Nov 6 at Basket Books in Houston, Kevin Prufer and I are hosting quite possibly my favorite living novelist, Dan Chaon and his new novel ONE OF US (look up all the rave reviewsโone of those stories that keeps you up at night, in the best way). Dan will read a bit, weโll chat a bit, then weโll drink some wine and shmingle with the audience. Great opportunity to meet one of the most significant prose writers writing today in a small & friendly environment. Come say hello and get your story on! @basketbooksandart@dchaon@pruferkevin@uhcwp
The UHCWP is thrilled to welcome @hayan_charara and wishes him congratulations on the publication of his debut novel, Hush Little Children, now out with Flexible Press!
