On Mar. 31, 2026, the Libraries celebrated the legacy of Professor Michael Gannonâa distinguished scholar, educator, and advocate for academic excellence. This year, we welcomed best-selling author, three-time Pulitzer Prize winner, and former Washington Post journalist, Rick Atkinson, as the 2026 Michael Gannon lecturer. Mr. Atkinsonâs talk focused on World War II and his acclaimed series, the Liberation Trilogy. We are so glad that so many people turned out for this wonderful event, and a huge thank you to Mr. Atkinson for sharing his knowledge with us!
