So we are officially moved/relocated to #Ramsgate. It was bloody exhausting and overwhelming but we did it, 4 days before Xmas (totally mental). But, we threw ourselves in…we hosted Xmas, 3 of us did the #ramsgatenewyearsdaydip (ice cold sea swim on NYD - almost killed Flo with the cold), we somehow blagged our way into the NYE Ramsgate Lantern parade - all felt slightly weird and a touch voyeuristic as we knew no-one. Next year we will. Our house is bloody lovely, it’s felt like a weird unreal holiday at an Airbnb. I think tomorrow is going to feel like the real first day - when we chuck our kids into a new school, sink or swim (obviously they will swim but I’m shitting it), I have to try to start working/making work happen here and I have to be that weird overkeen mum at the school gates - desperately trying to make new friends (I have none here). But, Fuck it, I’m a stones throw from the sea and I’m sat opposite a log fire 🤩. Pics of madness here….

2025 was the year of As You Like It - totally joyous, colourful, a cracking team & all round fun! Then in an unexpected turn of events, we had the amazing opportunity to go to China, with a extract of King Lear!
So 2025, you’ve been fab, can’t wait to see what dreams come true in 2026… 🎆
I’ll stop banging on about it soon but…I’m back after a few days of complete madness in China - our final performance was insane - fully televised, light shows, pre-show banquet (couldn’t really eat - I was nervous & still full from the 25 dish lunch), camera crew following us, 10 min curtain call with full firework display while we waved & smiled (manically) on stage. Honestly an experience like no other. And, I made the official cut on telly!

& Ursula Early is our Associate Director, as well as the co-artistic director of ELSF.
Ursula has produced all of ELSF’s productions and tours including: ‘Romeo & Juliet’, ‘Twelfth Night’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. As well as co-writing & directing ELSF’s ‘Two Metres to Shakespeare’. Ursula has also recently launched and directs ELSF’s Young Company – a youth theatre for East London 7-17 year olds.
Alongside ELSF, she is also Producer & Programmer for Walthamstow’s performance & Community venue The CentrE17. Previous producing/directing projects include: ‘Desdemona: a play about a handkerchief (Park Theatre), ‘A Bold Stroke for A Husband and ‘Double Indignity’ - Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and Bridewell Theatre and the regular new writing/comedy night Laugh Your Farce Off, Pleasance Theatre - Islington (Main House) and Edinburgh. She previously worked as a Production Coordinator for Commercial West-End and international touring Production Company: Glynis Henderson Productions (Producers of STOMP and others). Ursula has an extensive TV and theatre acting CV and trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
