On Saturday, May 2nd, the Zawadi Chapter along with the Tawantin Chapter held a beach cleanup at the Indian River Inlet!
This was a great opportunity to keep our beaches and our environment clean by demonstrating being role models to the community. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us out!

GREEKZ IN MOTION CHAMPIONS 🏆
This past weekend, the brothers of the Ameyalli and Zawadi Chapters had the opportunity to compete in UCLA’s Latinx Greek Council’s Salute, Step, and Stroll Competition and secured 1st place!
Special thank you to LGC for the invitation and for organizing such an impactful event, as well as to all the organizations who put on amazing performances!
We are also proud to share that our winnings will be going toward our national philanthropy: HIV/AIDS Research and Awareness. This cause holds deep meaning for our brotherhood, as it honors the memory of Alberto Rivera, one of our 20 Founding Fathers, who passed away in 1989 due to complications from HIV/AIDS. Since then, our fraternity has continued the mission of raising awareness, supporting research, breaking the stigma, and empowering communities through education and compassion.
This win is bigger than a trophy. It is a reminder of what we represent, who we honor, and the impact we strive to make beyond the stage.

20 YEARS OF ZAWADI
On April 8, 2006 Brian Waller-Scott, aka Prodigy, founded the ZAWADI Chapter as a solo at the University of Delaware. Zawadi has remained present and active for 20 consecutive years since Brian planted the seeds for a vision that would grow. From once being the “Land of The Solos” to where it is today, Zawadi has been a special life changing place for many and a pillar in our region. Our longest standing chapter in Region 2 started with one man making it to @lsu_1979 . From a chapter of 1, to reaching the community, creating “Blueprint”, representing culture, a National Stroll Champ, and much more! Today we not only celebrate Zawadi as a chapter, but take a brief trip down memory lane to honor Brian, the Prodigy, the Founder, in the beginning! @bk_prod1gy . When his kids ask “Dad, what were you like in College?”, they can watch this 🥹.

4️⃣7️⃣ years ago, 20 Latino collegiate men gathered in Tillett Hall at Livingston College of Rutgers University–New Brunswick and built more than an organization. They built a movement. Born out of necessity and driven by purpose, they established a brotherhood grounded in unity, culture, and impact.
For 47 years, we have remained intentional in our commitment to:
