UCL Women’s Basketball embodies the spirit of UCL, bringing together players from diverse backgrounds to enjoy the game, enhance their skills, and foster a team known for fair play and strong team spirit.
Our club features two competitive teams that compete in the BUCS league, providing a platform for more experienced players. Additionally, we offer opportunities for improving players and beginners to participate in the LUSL league, where they can compete against other London-based universities. Our club also offers a social membership (recreational and development) for those who wish to enjoy basketball in a more relaxed setting or focus on skill development without the pressure of competition.

We started off with great offence, movement and even better defence, along with nice shots, wonderful rebounds and crazy teamwork!🤘

It’s an honour to see everyone grow throughout the season:
Anjini - best pg, crazy handling and layups, skimming through the opps like water
Ally - subconciously reads everyones mind and teleports to where she needs to be, also teleporting the ball
Alexi - always knows what shes doing (basketball knowledge 10000)and acing those long range shots
Andrea - the ultimate face guard and always cutting to the best spots
Bea - well rounded belgian princess with wonderful execution
Hailey - the hustler of the court, running up and down for defence and shots
Kelly - our centre with amazing defence
Lisa - the cutest and funniest captain, also the rebound magnet
Lola - the sweetest and forward ever, always cheering on the team with passion
Louisa - the lion of the team, always driving in with power
Nina - greatest team player, always getting the ball forward
Unlee - our unforgotten goated pg, get well soon
Yanbo- the well rounded player with crazy stamina
So proud and thankful for each one of you for being on this team, always looking out for each other on and off court. It has been a great season and everyone worked so hard. Very well done would be an understatement but anyways, love you all.
Also, it’s been a pleasure to play with Kings for varsity. Thank you all for such a great game.(We will get you next time🤫)

Ending the season and starting the varsity celebrations on a high 💪
We couldn’t be prouder of this team. Every single one of you has hustled so hard all year, and it really showed in this game 💗 From where they started to where they are now, the growth has been incredible, they’ve truly become one team 🫶
To the girls, you should be so proud of all the effort you put in on game day and throughout the entire season 💜💜 Your hard work, determination, and support for each other never went unnoticed.
The 2 L’s in LUSL stands for Love because these girls are so full of it💜💜

Before we get onto Varsity celebrations, we have some little back log of celebratory admin to do😛
With their last BUCs game and with a wonderful win, our Team 1 have finished at the top of the league!🥇What a great way to end the season😛
It was great to see the girls get the well deserved win after everything they have all been through this season, wether it be some off days ᵒʳ ᴳᵒᵈ ᵃʷᶠᵘˡ ʳᵉᶠᵉʳᵉᵉˢ, our girls all came up on top🔥
So proud of each and every one of them💜
With this win we have an opportunity to get a league promotion, with a playoff game on 22/03 vs Worcester women’s at home.
