It is announced for the information of the University of Cape Coast Community and the General Public that the Governing Council, at its Special Meeting held on 15th May, 2026, appointed Professor Denis Worlanyo Aheto, current Ag. Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor, as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, with effect from 1st August 2026.

The UCC SRC Executive, led by the SRC President, H.E. Kwame Ntiamoah Ntim, paid a courtesy call on the Cape Coast Metropolitan Mayor to congratulate him on his appointment and reaffirm collaboration with the Assembly.
During the visit, the SRC President appealed for the installation of speed ramps along the Akotokyere–SRC–PSI road to improve safety for students and staff.
The Mayor expressed appreciation for the visit and assured his commitment to addressing the concern and working closely with the SRC.
The SRC remains committed to promoting student welfare and safety.
