The Multicultural Community Center (MCC) is rooted in liberatory, anti-racist political struggle and inherently facilitates student organizing. As a coalition of students, faculty, and community members who want to maintain the legacy of the MCC, we unequivocally condemn the university’s acts of blatant political repression: the removal of all art on MCC walls, the restriction of all events and programming to university-approved “signature events,” and the rescinding of interns’ after-hours access to the space.
