As the exhibition at Nunu Fine Art nears its end, we recommend a visit to this excellent display. We are very pleased to have a number of works from our gallery included in this exhibition, which is definitely worth visiting before it ends on May 30th. #belllmer#hansbellmer

It's amazing to see how Hans Bellmer continues to influence modern fashion and culture nearly a century later. Marc Jacobs designed Cardi B's 2026 Met Gala look, which was directly inspired by German artist Hans Bellmer's surrealist, frightening, and twisted doll sculptures. Over the years, our gallery has had the honor of handling and displaying a number of important works from the La Poupée series. #HansBellmer#Bellmer#Doll#LaPoupee#Surrealism#photographs

Today marks the birthday of one of the gallery’s favorite artists, Hans Bellmer (13 March 1902 – 24 February 1975). A German Surrealist, Bellmer is widely known for his evocative series of photographs of articulated dolls he constructed himself, as well as for his partnership with fellow artist Unica Zürn. Ubu is honored to share his legacy. A small selection of his works is currently on display at Nunu Fine Art New York.
