🫎 Moose Hide Campaign Day is coming up on May 14! The general plenary will feature keynote speaker Dr. Niigaan Sinclair, an award-winning writer, editor, and activist. 📚 UBCO Library has put together a list of books to help feature the titles written or edited by Dr. Niigaan Sinclair and keynote speakers from years past, such as Elaine Alec, Michael Kaufman, Marie Wilson, and Brandi Morin. 🔗 Many of the books are available through UBC Library. 🎉 Calling artists, writers, and creatives! @ubcolibrary has partnered with @kelowna_museums to offer a zine making workshop at the Laurel Packinghouse on April 13 at 6 pm. Zines are an underground and DIY art form integral to pre-internet queer and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities since the ‘70s. These self-published, small-circulation "magazines” can cover a wide range of topics, including personal narratives, art, poetry, politics, and more. Food, beverages, and zine making supplies will be provided! See the link in our bio to sign up.
