If you are a UBC student, membership for the 2025/2026 school year is $10 for one semester (Sept to Dec) and $18 for the full year (Sept to Apr) 💰 For non-UBC students, it will be $15 for one semester and $25 for the full year ✨
You can get your memberships with us during Clubs Day (Sept 23-25) where we will be boothing or during our Icebreaker event on Sept 26!
If you are interested to be more involved with the team as an Executive or Dance Team member, Junior Executive Hiring usually happens in July and Senior Executive Elections take place in March, while Dance Team Auditions occur in late September ‼️ All available information will be provided during the month as mentioned above 📆

UBC K-Wave is currently the first and only club at UBC that’s focused on promoting Korean entertainment 🫶🏻 We strive to be a welcoming and inclusive community for people with an interest in Korean food, music, movies and shows by hosting monthly events that highlight these topics, and allow students to relieve stress 💙 The K-Wave Dance Team also host a range of weekly K-pop dance classes that are beginner friendly and open to all 💃🏻

Formed in 2012, the UBC K-Wave’s Dance Team consists of UBC students passionate in showcasing and sharing their love for K-pop dance 💃🏻 They perform live at various campus and local events including TDT’s Get Schooled, FanExpo Vancouver and our very own ShowKase 👀
They lead weekly dance classes available to the UBC and local community, offered at various dance levels that are generally beginner-friendly 🙌🏼 These dance classes are $5 for members and $8 for non-members. Class sizes are limited to around 40-50 people and can fill up very quick, so be sure to RSVP in our registration form posted few days in advance of each class. If you have a song you want the Dance Team to teach, be sure to fill out the ‘Dance Class Song Request’ form in our bio! 👆🏼 More details on dance classes will be up our IG so be sure to follow along and set a notification alarm 🔔
The Dance Team also uploads K-pop dance covers to UBC K-Wave’s YouTube channel, showcasing their amazing talents and teamwork. From K-pop in public to MV recreations, they set up great production quality and their stage outfits are always on-point 🤌🏼 Be sure to subscribe to our channel and like our videos ❤️
