At UBalt Law, students don't just study the law — they practice it.
"You can only learn how to grapple with being a lawyer when you're actually experiencing it: when you're sitting in front of a client, and they are looking you in the eye and relying on you to help them."
— Professor Jaime Lee, Associate Dean for Experiential Education
Through our nationally recognized clinical program, students represent real clients and serve their communities — from immigration and veterans advocacy to criminal law and community development. All through free legal services that make a difference.
This is what it means to train the next generation of lawyers.

“It’s like a huge team of cheerleaders backing you on your journey.”
From UBalt classrooms to the homicide unit, Bria’s story is one of purpose, opportunity, and growth. A first-generation student pursuing forensic studies, she’s now preparing for law school through the Fannie Angelos Program after internships in both the Baltimore Police Department and the Office of the Public Defender.
Her journey started with curiosity—and grew through every unexpected opportunity along the way.

Resilience. Growth. Legacy. 💫
Barbara Wilkins, MBA student at UBalt, has turned life’s challenges into opportunities. From cheering on her son at UBalt commencement to walking the stage herself, Barbara credits the UBalt community for helping her persevere, grow, and thrive.
“UBalt is more than a school to us, it’s a shared legacy of growth and community,” she says.
