"Most people haven’t had actual experience growing up and seeing socialism destroy their country. That’s something pretty unique to Venezuela and especially to Daniel Di Martino. (Hugo Chavez was sworn in the same year he was born.) On top of actual anecdotal evidence, he also has the economics background that quantifies his experience. Same thing goes for immigration. He came to America on a full tuition scholarship to Indiana University and is a story of what successful and selective immigration can do for the United States. Bringing Daniel to campus was a great way to expose my classmates to his story." — UATX sophomore Ben Solin on why he invited Daniel Di Martino to campus with YAF
