In the Fall of 2025, I shot the The Fashion Circuit's "The Archive Of Us" Show...now that we are approaching the Spring | Summer 2026 season I was excited to look through the photos of what I would consider my first fashion event. Something caught my eye...in more of an artistic way than the fashion way. I messaged UAR creator Brian and asked if he would be ok with me reimagining some of my original photos through a black-and-white perspective. He gave me the blessing and I went to work. I love photography and art. I'm very appreciative of those who have given me opportunities and who continue to support, even when the IG posts no longer pertain to content in their specific niche. Everything is cyclical. What comes and moves on will always come back around. I'm excited for the Spring | Summer 2026 fashion season and new and returning opportunities. Be sure to stay tuned in with @the.fashioncircuit And keep an eye out for more from @uarbrain and @uarp.ed -JAmes

DESIGNER DROP Meet Brian Ibarra (@uarp.ed )(@uarbrain ). Brian Ibarra is a Chicano designer from Iowa and the creative force behind UAR®, a clothing line rooted in identity, heritage, and self-expression. Drawing inspiration from his Midwest upbringing, vintage streetwear, and Chicano culture, Brian’s work blends the everyday with the intentional, creating garments that honor working-class roots, youth, and cultural pride. His designs are deeply personal, often upcycled or handmade, with silhouettes influenced by immigrant families, skaters, quince culture, and historical styles like the zoot suit. Through UAR®, we invite wearers to feel seen, empowered, and unapologetically themselves. See Brian’s collection on our runway Friday, September 26th. Tickets link in bio. #TheFashionCircuit

Behind the Seams 🪡Fellow Edition w/ Brian Ibarra (@uarbrain ) Yo, I go by Brian, and I’m currently a sophomore at Iowa State University studying architecture with plans to minor in sustainability. To me architecture is not just about designing buildings, I want to use architecture to create spaces that are inclusive, affordable, and nuanced spaces that allow people to fully express themselves. Architecture has shown me how environments shape our experiences, but fashion has shown me how I’ve shaped and expressed who I am. Growing up, I rocked neon gym clothes, LeBron’s, and colored socks pulled up to my knees- style was never something I took lightly (sarcasm). As years passed, my Chicano background, love for learning about different cultures, skating, creating art, and listening to music all shaped the way I view clothing. I began to understand that individuality is one of the most important things we all carry, and clothes are one of the strongest ways to tell that story. Whether it’s sewing, selling and styling clothes on depop, or styling fits in my room, I’ve tried to make fashion feel personal. This passion for expressing identity through clothes is what drives me to create and what has led me to the Fashion Circuit Fellowship. My friend and I are working on bringing our own clothing brand into the world, one that celebrates the beauty in self-expression, cultural roots, and pushes creative boundaries. This fellowship is a step toward that vision, and I’m excited to contribute to the future of fashion in Des Moines. - 📸: @trinnoelphotography #TheFashionCircuit
