A couple weeks ago, The University of Akron Alumni Association, @uastudentlife , the @knightfdn , and @downtownakronpartnership hosted UA’s first-ever @longesttablecommunity event on campus. 🍽️ Students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members gathered around one table to share a meal, spark conversations, and build meaningful connections.
The evening was a reminder that at UA, community starts with saying YES. ⭐ YES to new conversations, YES to new perspectives, and YES to showing up for one another.
⚙️ Our engineering students put innovation on full display at Senior Design Day 2026.
Nearly 500 attendees gathered to experience student-designed solutions spanning healthcare innovation, robotics, advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, automation and even sustainable materials for future space exploration. 🚀
From concept to creation, these projects reflect the creativity, technical expertise and career-ready skills our students develop through hands-on, experiential learning.
We were also excited to welcome 139 high school students who joined us to see engineering in action and explore what’s possible at UA. YES, you belong here.
