Buffalo based party people Casual Hand are taking a trip to The Big Apple. Greenie has been a huge inspiration to many with his years performing as the drummer of electronic jam band Lotus [@lotusinstagram ], a band that pays homage to the roots of disco, house, rock & roll, blues, funk & more. We are very excited to have drummer of the band, Mike Greenfield AKA DJ Greenie who will be gracing the Jupiter Disco DJ booth. Joined by Summerdance alumni, occasional tour opener, and probably the person with the most attended Lotus shows, Buffalo based U-Lock along with local DJ originally from Buffalo, Interpretive Sound. Also on support duty, we have Anagouti, hailing from really all over, and Mr. Pyrex, another Buffalo born, NYC local. man, I was listening back to this five hour set from last Friday, and it's honestly the best I've ever played (besides maybe that seven hour set from Summerdance Renegade 2022, but that sucker's lost to the woods. ✨️this one is not, link in bio✨️) a few months ago when I was inquiring about available dates at No Fun to do an extended set, 2/13 was the first one pitched. I checked my calendar and saw "SATURN RETURN ENDS" so I immediately booked it. 💫 ritual work has always been an important aspect of my existence. I'm a big proponent of transforming the mundane into magic. when melding this mindset with music, I like to use extended sets for intentional release of pent up energy through waves of sound and movement in an intimate space. after a fairly difficult time, I was elated to let go of it with my favorite medium. whether Saturn Returns are legitimate or not, the timing was right because boy did I let it out. extended sets also connect deejay and dancer the most since we can read each other better over the course of a night. this night, mid-February 2026, in the U.S., we (obviously) all had some shit to release. it was palpable. clearing energy and holding space has always been a part of the intentional release during any long solo sets I do. it's as much for the dancer as it is for me, if and when they decide to take the bait. that room was bumpin' all night, and that was the point. locked and loaded. a collaborative effort. thank you for showing up and laying it all out on the floor with me. 💫 this mix is really good. I'm a perfectionist deep down inside (though I do try to play it off) with a bit of an inferiority complex and a dash of imposter syndrome so that's saying something. it isn't perfect, and that doesn't matter. it's a raw and honest reflection of the moment. I played a bunch of music I've never played ever before too, like completely off the cuff. I've honestly never been more proud of anything thus far. let me know what you think! finally actively attempting to pursue my dream of taking this show on the road in the midst of our societal collapse is wild.
