Obsidian Spring Festival | Shenzhen, China
Two fabulous nights in Shenzhen for the Obsidian Spring Festival at Obsidian Bar — and what a celebration it was.
The festival brought together three of Asia’s finest bars: Hope & Sesame (Guangzhou), Pony Up (Shanghai), and the Bamboo Bar (Bangkok) for the creative collaboration, spirit-forward pours, and plenty of bubbles.
A heartfelt thank you to Paul and the entire Obsidian team for the incredibly warm hospitality.

The bar at The China House takes Chinese heritage as its starting point and builds something genuinely its own from there, bringing together tea infusions, citrus oils, and botanicals into cocktails designed to complement the food and extend the pleasure of the meal. The range moves from bright and refreshing to deeper and more spirit-forward, each sip an ideal match for the flavours on the table.

Every dish deserves the right glass beside it. In collaboration with The Bamboo Bar, our beverage programme draws from tea culture, seasonal ingredients and classic technique. Each pairing considers texture and balance in relation to the cuisine. A smoky tea may complement roast meat, while bright citrus refreshes between courses. Spirit-free creations receive the same care as classic cocktails.
