Let’s learn more about our September 2026 instructors 🤗 @typhoonhoops - Tyler Alexander is a Michigan-based hooper with a foundation in dance. For him, hooping started as something simple when he was gifted his first hoop. It quickly became a beloved hobby and took off from there!  His 15 year hoop journey has led him to perform with the Electric Forest Hoop Troupe and a local circus company in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Whether free-flowing and improvising in the moment or creating choreography, hooping has become his creative sanctuary, a fun and expressive outlet that fulfills the need to move and connect with his body. Had an amazing week at @oasishoopretreat ✨ i’ll be forever reminiscing on the magic our group created and shared! This experience has unlocked a place in my heart space and given me a renewed vigor with my hoops and the community! ✨⭕️✨ So grateful for all the wonderful friendships and connections made!

Bingo loco! It’s my second time partying with y’all!!! Last time i was on stage for the chance to win the grand prize and lost… but I got this sweet hat! This time I brought my mom!

Drilling some handstands today. Watching this video for myself shows that I need to work on hollowing out my back some more. My balance has come a long way though. #progress #handstand
