So this was cool lol. This weekend I physically saw a photo of myself I did for a shoot for @citygear and it was a beautiful moment for me despite the rain lol. I’ve had people tell me they’ve seen them but this time I got to go and see it for myself. I am beyond proud of this woman and her desire to better herself and not give up on herself is a big part of the reason I’m the woman I am today. I can say I ran my first 5k with my mom and I wouldn’t have it any other way. To be able to motivate and push her the whole 3.1 miles (even though she rolled her eyes at me A LOT😭😂) she listened to her body paced herself and surprised herself to be able to do it in under an hour. We did this in honor my grandmama Mel, who also passed from ovarian cancer, but we also did it to show ourselves how strong our bodies came be and the importance to take care of it is. And I know she looks down at us so proud. Y’all are watching me in my own fitness and wellness journey but to be able to motivate my mom to join me on it as well means the most. So we’ll definitely be doing it again and this time being even better, faster, and stronger. I love you Mommy and Happy Mother’s Day🫶🏾 #gymmotivation #gymgirl #mothersday #run #5k

Friday Conditioning Workout 800m Run -> 750m Row 800m Run -> 40 Kettlebell Swings 800m Run -> 50 Wall Balls 800m Run -> Weighted Walking Lunges Cool down Try to keep rest minimal and heart rate relatively up! The goal is to be able to work under fatigue at a pace that you can easily keep up with. As you get faster and stronger in pace, try seeing if you can do two rounds! And as someone who is NOT a runner, I promise you can do it lol. It’s the start of a new month so let’s go!😉 Weight should be moderate but challenging depending on strength level! #gym #gymgirl #conditioningtraining #run

Women learning to do pull ups will always get me going lol. Some of you even have been sending me your own pull up videos and you’re killing it! I’m working towards some new skills in calisthenics so I added weight to my pull ups to further challenge myself.
