The sheer amount of support you’ve all shown with sharing my page and donating has been truly unthinkable, and I truly can’t say enough!!💙
A little clarification/update for you all! My initial goal I set for this campaign was $15,000, and you’ve managed to raise over 1/3 of that in just one day!!
It currently shows my goal as $7000 because GoFundMe divided my goal into multiple goals, setting $7000 as my “starting goal”. I think I’m going to try and remove this feature, as it seems a bit misleading to not show the amount of my target goal!
In very good hopes though, Student Financial Services at Berklee have been helping me by reaching out directly to my educational loan servicer to reduce my payments! When that is all figured out, I am hoping to be able to reduce my project goal if it’s possible!!

hey guys!:) This is a bit of a different kind of post, but I just wanted to reach out to my community for help through a difficult situation I’ve found myself in. My name is Tyler, and I’m a Berklee College of Music 2025 graduate, and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Berklee Global Jazz Institute. Due to some inconsistent information I was told by my educational loan servicer, I’ve now been placed in a really tough emergency financial situation as it turns out what I was initially told months ago was wrong. I’m reaching out for your help because I soon won’t be able to afford to pay for my living needs, rent, and loan payments at the current rate. So, I have started a GoFundMe page to share to my community, in hopes I can stay in my apartment and finish my Master’s program at the end of this June! With an effortless fusion of jazz, pop, and R&B, Tyler’s unique sound has brought him to stages and festivals from Boston to Hawaii to Panama. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Berklee’s Global Jazz Institute, while continuing to create and perform as a solo artist, as well as half of the ukulele duo oya!! with Onya Menil.
