As we turn the page into 2026, I do sense a fresh energy in the air of people going out & getting it and tbh it’s inspiring. Has been a fun past 7 years getting to travel the world and make more friends than I can count all due to cardboard & COLLECTING. Something tells me it’s all been in preparation for what lies ahead. A few months back, during the FIFA World Cup, I had the opportunity to interview @garyvee in front of an audience of club & league executives + current & former players from around the world. We touched on many topics, one of my favorite being the impact of FIFA 95 on SEGA Genesis in growing the sport in the US, as I can vividly remember spending endless hours playing that game with my cousins Bob, Greg & Pete. I also wanted to hear some practical advice on how Gary sees things playing out in business over the next 3-5 years, in hopes that may help those in attendance & their respective clubs / careers. The third point I got some work to do on, but definitely pushing on the first two. As a massive proper football fan, this was a moment I won’t soon forget!
Sheesh, talk about a Friday mail day!!!! Got absolutely blessed by our good friends @kith with the new Marvel x CAPCOM collection that are going straight onto my feet. As someone that grew up on video games , street fighter etc , mainly catching L’s to my older cousins if I’m honest , this was pretty dang cool. Thank you to @madison_reis for reaching out, to @worldtoor for the long time friendship, & @ronniefieg for the inspiration always. I see what you’re doing with this Fieg Collectibles!! Need u on @cardtalkpod to tell the world more about it 🙏 .. also this is officially the longest I’ve ever taken to edit a video , man IG tools have come a long way! The product deserved the effort to say the least. If you’ve watched the video & read this whole caption, wow! It’s not easy getting that long of focus now a days. Spent 72 hours in Dubai this past week and boy was it a special trip! My first time to the region & to be there attending a card show and helping introduce @veefriends to the region was nothing short of spectacular. Big thank you to @rashedalfarooq & @cardshowexhibition for the hospitality. @editiononecollect for the friendship. And all the vendors and collectors at the show for showing up, helping grow the hobby in the GCC, and taking the time to learn what we are building with @veefriends .. can’t wait to be back soon!
STORY TIME! AI this AI that .. yes it’s everywhere. But for the first time yesterday, I was sitting there wondering whether I just spoke to a human or a computer & it really dawned on me that these days have arrived. I’ve spent more time than most on the internet, and this was kind’ve a new moment for me in where this is all going, and weirdly it’s only just begun. Excited to spend a weekend walking a golf course ⛳️ & going LOW
