Save this for later or share it with a friend! How to properly wrap a cable using the over and under technique. This is the first thing I learned when I went to school for audio engineering. Probably the most valuable and quickest things every one should learn when dealing with cables. Practice it over and over and you’ll get the hang of it eventually!!

Today is my birthday and I’ve been reflecting on the journey. From being homeless as a kid to building a full time career in production… it’s been a wild ride. Production gave me a skill that changed my life. I’ve been obsessed with audio, lighting, and video since a teenager. If you swipe through this post you’ll see a little bit of the story. And if you’re an entrepreneur or creator who needs a studio setup for live streaming, podcasting, webinars, and more. Shoot me a dm or visit my website

Comment “Mic” for the Full Video Breakdown . . I personally like the Sm7B the most but I would recommend the other two if you’re on a budget and don’t want additional equipment besides a stand. The MV7+ is good if you’re wanting something a little bigger, plus it has led lights that the other two don’t have. The MV6 is good if you want the most affordable option plus it comes with a stand so it’s ready to go out of the box. You may need a longer cable since it only comes with a 2’ usb c cable. The SM7B does require a good audio mixer or interface with a lot of gain and possibly a cloud lifter unless you get a sm7db. . . Let me know if you can hear the difference and which mic you would choose 🎙️🎤

Production Went CRAZY 2025 🤯🚀 Podcasting, Live Streaming, Webinars, Events, Content, & More ‼️ . . I’m a Production Specialist. I have 10+ years of experience in Audio, Lighting, and Video. I setup studios for entrepreneurs, content creators, and business owners. I’m based in Atlanta but I travel across the country for work ✈️🧳 . . This video could’ve easily been 10-20mins long. It was so hard to choose all the right shots and moment. I know I missed a lot of dope stuff so I’ll have to post a longer part 2 for those who are interested. . I’m not gonna tag all the people I’ve worked with because the list would be so long so I’m gonna say thank you to everyone who helped me in anyway shape or form. Even liking, commenting, and sharing helps me grow! This year has been transformational in so many ways. I’m excited to see what’s in store for 2026 and beyond ✨

Comment “Studio” and get a top notch studio setup for podcasting, webinars, live streaming, and content creation ✅ . I flew to Puerto Rico to setup this studio for @paulalex and his podcast @thelevelupwithpaulalex 🎙️🔥 . His podcast is one the best so we had to give him the best Audio, Lighting, and Video production 💯 . This setup is gonna allow him and his team to crank out episodes so the podcast can continue growing and dominating the charts 📈🚀 . Having a podcast studio or space to create your content is absolutely essential! Especially one that’s easy to operate and makes you looks and sounds professional every time you hit record 🎯 . S/o @fe_guillermo (general contractor) 🔨 . Make sure you comment “Studio” to get started with your perfect studio setup ✅

Share this with a musician, engineer, or voiceover artist 🎙️🎤🗣️ . Most professional studios hang their microphones upside down to give the performer more space to move naturally, whether they’re reading a script, holding a phone, or simply expressing with their hands. 📱📝 . It also helps with heat management, especially for tube microphones. Since heat rises, flipping the mic keeps that warmth away from the capsule, preserving tone quality and extending the mic’s life. 🔥🎚️ . If you’re setting up your mic this way, make sure your stand is tall enough and use a sandbag or counterweight for stability. Protect your gear! It’s not just equipment, it’s your sound investment. ✅🎧 . Additional Tip: Hanging the mic upside down can also reduce reflections from music stands or lyric sheets, giving you a cleaner, more open sound in front of the capsule 💯🎯
