It takes a village to raise children. I’m so grateful that “our” village consists of AMAZING mothers. I don’t know where we’d be without you! Happy Mother’s Day, Nana’s Day and Grammy’s Day!

Countless times people say, “How do you have children in the film industry, I just don’t know how you do it.” I always respond with, if it wasn’t for my partner, in this case, my wife - I wouldn’t be able to. She’s such a rock and anchor for our family and it’s no wonder the kids always want her - she’s the best! She brings happiness and warmth in whatever room she enters. She’s slowly turning me into a beach person too.

I voted and took my son with me deliberately. I took him to show him what his voice is capable of. To be proud of voting - to use this privilege for good, to spread love and not hate. We preach that Jesus loves all people, that He loves the least of these, we preach that He is the ultimate judge. It is our job as His followers to spread the good news in hopes that those who don’t know Him will be consumed by His grace. Love can manifest in different ways, but I used my voice to support a candidate that also preaches love and support of all people. My kids future depends on the decisions we make as adults. I want them to know that we are in their corner, that we will be there in every moment right beside them. I want my son to know what it looks like to be a gentleman and how to love all people no matter their differences from his. I want my daughter to know that the men in her life stand with her and support her through and through. And that she, along with all other women have a voice and shouldn’t shy away from using it. I used my voice to vote for equality, opportunity, growth, leadership, for the women in my life, for the men in my life, for all people, and most of all - for love. Know that you’re loved regardless of differing affiliations. I am just one imperfect person trying to make a difference. Love is on the ballot, hate is on the ballot. Choose love.
