Black Men United and the #BLACKTXST community are extremely saddened by the death of our current president Mr. Nicholas Suggs. Through this past year “Niko” stamped his name on this organization, and had a kind heart towards everyone he came across. Niko’s contributions to this organization will forever be appreciated. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, and classmates. Rest in Peace Prez 🖤We love you

BMU IS ON TEAM #VOTE4JO! It’s time for us to stand up and put our sister in office. Voting starts Thursday and ends Friday, make your voice heard and #VOTE4JO !
BMU made a promise and we stand on it.
This year, through our Miss Revered competition, we awarded scholarships to the ambassadors who have shown unmatched dedication, leadership, and growth within the program.
In this competition the 5 contestants were tasked with giving a presentation to BMU and the Ambassadors, that included showing the impact they’ve had on the program, what they’ve gained from the program, and coming up with new initiatives for the program and BMU that they would like to see implemented. Then they finished off the competition with a guided discussion over topics that were discussed in BMU/Ambassador meetings.
🥇 1st Place: $500 + the title of Miss Revered
🥈 2nd Place: $100
We’re not just talking about change we’re putting our money where our mouth is.
Community over Convenience.
BMU and BMU Ambassadors spent this past Weekend giving back to a local Black Church (Pentecostal Temple) that needed support. Showing up for our people always comes first.
