Long before becoming president, Lyndon B. Johnson was a student at what was then Southwest Texas State Teachers College, graduating in 1930. While on campus, he led the debate team, edited the student newspaper, and began building the skills that would shape his future in public service.
Today, his legacy remains part of TXST—from campus landmarks to the iconic statue in the Quad, where students touch his hand for luck and celebrate their graduation by featuring the distinguished alumnus in their photos.
From the classroom to clinical practice, @txstrrc is preparing the next generation of nurses to lead with skill, compassion, and purpose. Today, we celebrate their impact on International Nurses Day.
