April 28, 2026 — My first solo exhibition reception. Just before the reception, the weather suddenly turned severe with tornado and hail warnings. I thought many people might not be able to come, but far more people showed up than I expected, and I was deeply moved. It was a moment that once again proved the title of my exhibition, “Loved into Being.” Even in the absence I’ve been feeling—missing my parents and my sister’s family—my heart was filled so abundantly by the people who came and stood with me. I am deeply grateful. Thank you also to those who couldn’t make it because of the weather but still sent their congratulations, and to the students who came to see the show today. My deepest thanks to the TWU Visual Arts community for this opportunity.
