Tāmaki Makaurau’s own Caru & Brandn Shiraz are carving their name out in the NZ garage scene right now, pushing the sound forward on their own terms 🎯 As Aotearoa’s finest NZG producer and MC pairing, there’s no stronger or more fitting support for Bakey & Capo Lee on this lineup 🥝 The Back 2 Back EP marked the link-up between Caru & Brandn Shiraz - rooted in UKG foundations and inspired by the pirate radio era, while carving out their own lane through production and MC energy built for 4-to-the-floor pressure 🛫 Caru’s been part of the Two Step journey from the very beginning, with both artists stepping through Island Time earlier this year - it’s an honour to have them back on this lineup 👣🪩 Lock in your crew and be there April 11 🏭

@plastician is a Croydon based DJ and producer whose forward thinking selections and sharp instinct for emerging sounds have cemented him as a defining figure in UK underground music. A pivotal name in the early days of both Grime and Dubstep, he became the first artist to truly bridge the two worlds. His boundary pushing sets on Rinse FM and later BBC Radio 1 shaped an entire generation of listeners and producers, with his broadcasts still running more than 22 years after his debut. As a producer, Plastician has an extensive catalogue of originals, collaborations, and production credits, working with global heavyweights including Skepta, M.I.A., Snoop Dogg, and Will.I.Am. His international touring helped champion UK bass culture far beyond its roots, while exposing him to new sounds and scenes that continue to influence his wide ranging DJ sets. Since founding Terrorhythm Recordings in 2003, he has nurtured countless up and coming artists, inspiring the development of new styles and movements. Most notably, he is widely recognised as the originator and early curator of the Wave sound that emerged around 2014. Today, Plastician stands as one of the most influential voices in UK electronic music, continuing to break barriers and spotlight the next wave of underground talent.
