Just over one month until Family Fun Day! Join us on June 21 from 11am–2pm at the beautiful Como Park East Pavilion for an afternoon of fun, connection, and community for all ages. Each participating vendor will be offering free activities, games, and crafts for kids and families, and we’ll also be serving free community meals throughout the event. Bring your own picnic favorites or grab a meal from us and help us turn the day into one big community picnic! We encourage everyone to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and come spend the afternoon together in the park. Whether you stay for an hour or the whole day, there’s something for everyone at Family Fun Day, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

This year we will be celebrating an important milestone at the Twin Cities Pride Festival; the 25-Year Anniversary of our Power to the People Stage. The Power to the People (P2P) stage is a celebration of BIPOC LGBTQIA2S+ artistry, culture, and expression. The P2P stage would not exist without the vision and leadership of Nick Metcalf. Nick didn't just share their idea, but shared in the tireless work and advocacy needed to make it happen. That is why we are proud to honor Nick Metcalf as our 2026 BIPOC Leader of the Year. The Power to the People Stage has grown and changed over the years, but what hasn't changed is the mission to honor the vision Nick Metcalf had more than 25 years ago to make P2P a stage where each performance is a powerful reminder that representation matters, and that Pride must center the voices of those who have always been at the heart of the movement. Nick is an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe - Sicangu Oyate (Burnt Thigh People). Nick is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Metro State University. Nick is a writer, poet, an academic, a proud parent, and grandparent. Nick serves on the board for Migizi, Oyate Hotanin, Our Space, the Twin Cities Goodtime Softball League, and co-convener of the Loft's Native American Writers collective. Nick remains actively involved in the local community with Two Spirit organizing, LGBTQIA2S+ organizing, HIV/AIDS planning efforts, Native American child welfare, and Native American community mobilizing efforts. Nick is one of the Two Spirit artists featured in Queering Indigeneity currently at the Minnesota Museum of American Art. Photo Credit: Laura LaBlanc (Oyate Hotanin)

We are proud to announce Little Roo’s as our 2026 Ally of the Year From hosting Drag Story Hours in the face of protest, to becoming a hub for collecting and redistributing community aid during Operation Metro Surge, including support for our own community aid pantry, Little Roo’s showed what it truly means to stand with community. Their unwavering support, courage, and commitment to showing up for LGBTQIA2S+ people made an impact far beyond their walls. In moments that called for action, they answered with care, compassion, and tangible support for so many across our communities. Little Roo’s reminds us that allyship is not just a statement, it’s action, consistency, and showing up when it matters most. Please join us in celebrating our 2026 Ally of the Year: Little Roo’s

Some organizations don’t just serve the community, they help sustain it. This year, Twin Cities Pride is honored to recognize Family Tree Clinic as our Organization of the Year for their unwavering commitment to LGBTQIA2S+ health, gender affirming care, sexual health services, education, and advocacy. For decades, they have shown up for our community with compassion, dignity, and care, making sure people can access healthcare that sees them fully and treats them with respect. Their work changes lives every single day, and we are proud to celebrate the impact they continue to make across Minnesota. Please join us in congratulating Family Tree Clinic!

Whether you’re bold, sparkly, soft, loud—or all of the above—we’ve got pieces waiting for their moment. This Pride Month, your night out can make a real impact. Cheers to Pride is your invitation to celebrate while giving back, participating Twin Cities businesses are donating a portion of their proceeds to support Pride’s year-round programming. Many of these spaces were deeply impacted during Operation Metro Surge. They’ve always shown up for our community—now it’s our turn. Show up. Spend intentionally. Celebrate together.

Some seasons feel heavier than others. This year, we’re holding space for that—and making room for joy.  Twin Cities Pride is bringing something big, bright, and impossible not to smile at. The World’s Largest Rubber Duck is coming to Pride. Meet Mama Duck, over six stories tall and filled with pure joy. Since her debut in Los Angeles, she’s traveled across cities and welcomed millions with a simple mission: spread happiness, spark connection, and remind us to smile (even when it’s hard).  Because our community deserves moments of lightness. Because joy is part of resistance. Because sometimes, you just need to take a selfie with a 61-foot rubber duck. Come find a little joy with us.

What does it mean to create a space where people can simply be themselves? In Episode 4 of Tell Your Pride, Andi Otto of @twincitiespride shares the impact of The Rainbow Wardrobe — a judgment-free, gender-affirming space where LGBTQIA2S+ individuals can access clothing and personal items with dignity. From binders and tucking underwear to makeup, wigs, and everyday essentials, everything is offered with one goal: helping people feel comfortable, seen, and confident in who they are. For many trans and LGBTQ people, something as simple as shopping for clothes can be stressful or isolating. The Rainbow Wardrobe changes that — creating a space where there’s no judgment, no stares, just support. Listen to the full conversation on Tell Your Pride (wherever you get your podcasts) and hear how spaces like this are making a real difference in our community. #TellYourPride #RainbowWardrobe #TransJoy #LGBTQIA2S GenderAffirmingCare CommunitySupport
