PRNCAST 025: Based in Amsterdam, TWIENA is a DJ and producer whose work is shaped by a Vietnamese diaspora background and a wide range of global influences. Her sound focuses on tactile, evolving club music with a strong low-end, drawing on intuition rather than strict conventions. She moves fluidly across genres, combining groove, bounce, and intensity while maintaining a steady momentum. Active in Amsterdam’s club community, she has held a residency at queer club RAUM. Performances at venues such as Panorama Bar, Bassiani, Blitz, and festivals including Lowlands, DGTL, and Awakenings Upclose have expanded her perspective on sound and dancefloor dynamics. As a producer, she continues to develop tracks influenced by Vietnamese roots, global references, and long experience in the booth. Recent work is geared towards peak-time energy while remaining detailed, playful, and adaptable, aiming to respond to what the dancefloor needs in the moment. Upcoming releases will continue to explore this blend of heritage, experimentation, and a direct, club-ready attitude. This mix focuses on a deeper and more hypnotic side of her sound. The selection leans into rolling rhythms and atmospheric tension while keeping space for percussive, unexpected turns. It marks a moment in her current musical path where subtle shifts, layered drums, and a steady pull to the dancefloor sit at the centre of her approach.

In de afgelopen anderhalf jaar begon TWIENA zichzelf een beetje kwijt te raken. De hamvraag: wat voor artiest wilde ze zijn? Het antwoord formuleert ze met haar mooie debuut-EP Do Not Disturb, een totaal eigen clubsound waarin techno, latin-geïnspireerde ritmes en Vietnamese klanken samenkomen. Vanavond organiseert ze haar eigen feest in Club RAUM.

With blood sweat and tears I present you my first ever EP, so happy to finally share this 6 track story with you. Over the past year, I’ve been working on this project, coming across many confronting moments. Do Not Disturb is a moment where I thread the needle, where I’ve converted distraction into productivity. With this release it’s finally clear to me in which direction I’m heading, and I can’t wait for whats to come. CLUB XXX is back at nachbar! It’s been a while since the last edition, but we’re finally back. All previous night has truly surprised me. The turnout, the energy on the dancefloor… unreal.
